I was lucky enough to attend the afternoon concert this past Saturday to see you perform. As I watched you I admired the talent and discipline you possess. I'm so glad I got to see one of your last performances. Thanks!
So this it it Norman! It does feel a bit strange even if I have not seen you on the Symphony Hall stage since I graduated from NEC 22 years ago. But up until then I tried not to miss a concert and always admired your input and enthusiasm. I think back to our time together in your studio with much gratitude. Have a wonderful "rest of your life" and please give all my best to Carol. I do look forward to having you over in April :-)

congratulations norman! glad you had a nice send-off last night. you deserve it! just think, you'll never have to play another christmas song ever again. lol
Your beautiful sound in that wonderful hall will be missed by all! Cheers to a superb career in the BSO, Oh the places you have yet to go! Congrats ;^)
