These sessions will be for us to meet, embrace the new day and see where it leads us. We will be warming up and experimenting together (using things like color, connecting to nature and more)and talking about differences and similarities of what our playing feels like at that moment and how it develops in our time together.

Timing of Sessions

The sessions will be about an hour in length- and will occur at random times throughout a week or weekend and in morning, afternoon or evening.

New Video "Warming Up to 2023" and the start of Anew Each Day!

Hello and Happy New Year Everyone!

It's been a while since I've sent an email. I know some of you have been following me on Instagram and I've seen some of you there as well.

Dr. V has just uploaded a video to YouTube I made a couple of days ago called "Warming Up to 2023". The tone of the video is reflective and contemplative but laced with encouragement in the midst of the very intense and changing times we find ourselves in. CONCERT- Boston Conservatory at Berklee 2/19/23

"Times of Changing Timbres" will develop into a piece that I will premiere at a Boston Conservatory student faculty recital that Lauren Galarraga, a very talented player who studies with me, has enthusiastically organized for February 19th at 2pm. What I play on the video is a taste of what some of the piece will have in it. There will be other solos performed by the students, plus BOCO faculty bass trombonist Angel Subero is to perform as well plus various chamber and ensemble music to be played as well. A full night! More on this as it gets closer to the event.

I will be starting a new series this Friday, 1/6/22 at 10am EDT called "Anew Each Day." This title is an attitude that is very dear to me for it offers strength, hope and has the sentiment of having a fresh start to begin again every day. Everyday is different and to expect it to be exactly the same as the day before is not possible since this whole cosmos is always in motion. (The new video gets into this!).
